About Us

Dreyer and Associates is a law firm that advocates for our client’s interests and achieving the best possible outcomes in their civil & business litigation, real estate litigation, government affairs, personal injury and general counsel matters.

Our Purpose

Our firm stands with those that stand up to powerful interests. We stand against:

  • Predatory companies trying to make an extra, and unearned dollar at your expense

  • An insurer refusing to pay when you or loved one has been harmed

  • Banks that threaten your home or livelihood

  • And if necessary, our government when it violates the law.

We stand with the truth, and we use our Courts, the Constitution, and all available laws to protect your rights.

Our Inspiration

We owe a debt of gratitude to those that came before us and blazed a trial for us to follow, including a thinker and writer from Concord, Massachusetts, a lawyer from India, and a pastor and activist from Atlanta, Georgia.

In 1849, Henry David Thoreau published On Civil Disobedience, after being jailed for refusing to pay taxes because of his opposition to the U.S. Government’s enforcement of slavery and invasion of Mexico. The U.S. invasion of Mexico led to annexation of Texas, and in turn, the implementation of slavery in Texas. Thoreau said:

“It is not desirable to cultivate a respect for the law, so much as for the right. The only obligation which I have a right to assume, is to do at any time what I think right.”

Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison.

In 1907, Mahatma Ghandhi, citing Thoreau, wrote For Passive Resisters, supporting his satyagraha campaign against the segregation in South Africa, stating:

“Truth (satya) implies love, and firmness (agraha) engenders and therefore serves as a synonym for force. I thus began to call the Indian movement Satyagraha, that is to say, the Force which is born of Truth and Love or non-violence.”

Ghandhi of course later applied these principles into action in India, leading to the end of the brutal occupation and oppression by the British Empire.

In April 1963, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., building on the work and actions of Thoreau and Ghandhi, wrote some of the most important words ever written while in jail. In Letter from a Birmingham Jail, Dr. King said:

“I am cognizant of the interrelatedness of all communities and states. I cannot sit idly by in Atlanta and not be concerned about what happens in Birmingham. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

Atlanta, Georgia is the birthplace of the modern U.S. Civil Rights Movement. And though we still fall far short of our ideals and injustice is far too prevalent, we have made meaningful progress because of activist and lawyers.

Our firm uses our Court system and the Rule of Law to stand up for what is right, and we will continue to do so.

We believe, as the official motto of the Georgia Supreme Court says:  Fīat iūstitia ruat cælum

Let Justice Be Done, Though the Heavens May Fall

Our firm stands with you and fights injustice anywhere, by the government, a large corporation, or any predatory individual or company.

We stand on the side of justice.
